Every time a scheme member terminates his employment, the MPF benefits accrued in the MPF account opened under the former employer will be transferred to a separate account known as a personal account. A personal account is therefore an account in which the MPF benefits accrued from the member’s former employment or self-employment are held.
The MPFA maintains a Personal Account Register for members of the public to check for free. Information available includes whether a scheme member has any personal accounts and, if so, the name and contact number of the trustee maintaining the personal account(s).
e-Enquiry of Personal Account (ePA) - Access your account information at anytime and anywhere
Scheme members may look up their own MPF personal accounts via the e-Enquiry of Personal Account (ePA). Scheme members may apply for the ePA service via the ePA website or mobile application (MPFA ePA). To protect the personal data of scheme members, verification of identity by the MPFA after online application is required and scheme members may choose to :
Provide copies of his/her Hong Kong Identity Card & residential address proof of recent three months for identity verification upon online application and activate his/her account; or
Visit one of the MPFA’s offices for identity verification by presenting his/her Hong Kong Identity Card.

One-off enquiry
Enquiries may also be made by three categories of people. You may make an enquiry to MPFA by sending in the relevant form by post, fax:
Scheme members, authorized persons or personal representatives or persons entitled in priority to the administration of the estate of a deceased scheme member should make personal account enquiries by post or by fax which will offer greater convenience and save more time.
Scheme members who wish to make enquiries through registered intermediaries will need to authorize principal intermediaries (PI). Scheme members may contact the subsidiary intermediaries for the detailed arrangements.
If there is any practical need (e.g. present documents) to visit the customer service counter of MPFA office in person, please call MPFA’s telephone enquiry hotline (2918 0102) to make appointment in advance. Visitors have to strictly follow the MPFA’s infection prevention guidelines during the visit.
Please post or fax the completed form and a copy of relevant ID document(s) to MPFA. Search results will be sent to you by mail.
